On Lala’s post [post 3899305] I mentioned that I had asked SiteSupport at Site Problems, Bug reports, Customer Feedback and Suggestions October 2016 about the new feature where you can use a button on the upper right corner of a post to "Like" and/or "Comment" on a post. My question and their reply are as follows.

I asked: “A question regarding the addition of a "Like" button and a "Comment" button to all of the blog posts. What is the reason they were added? Are there benefits to the blogger or the member who "Likes" and/or "Comments"? Thank you.”

Their reply:
redrock,

Thanks for the post. While I can't say definitively why the decision was made, your technical team is not directly involved in the "why's" of new features, I will venture to guess it is something that was requested by members. The vast majority of users will be used to sites like facebook/twitter/insta where they can receive this sort of feedback for postings. If this is something they are accustomed to throughout their online experiences, it would be normal for them to expect it here.

Thanks for your contributions to the community!
Antonio

FWIW, I’ve been ignoring it since I can "Like" and/or "Comment" on a post as I(we) have been for however long the blogs have been here. Just because FarceBook and Twiddle do something doesn’t mean it is useful IMO. I have yet to figure out why have a "Comment" button when there is a place to reply/comment to the posts.

BTW, you can "Like" and/or "Comment" on the SiteSupport blog. On a scale of 1 to 5 on the Yawn Scale I give this feature >

Sooo . . . now that you know this are you more likely or less likely to like? Have you liked yet? Are you going to like? Do you like to like? When you liked did you use lube or lotion . . . liberally? Is liking a luxury? Did you have any luck liking? or . . . Do you loathe liking? Could you like liking any less? Do you like when you’re loaded? Will you like liberally or less? What do you liken it to? Is there a likeness to something else? Do you liken liking to licking? If you loathe licking would you liken it to liking? Were you lucky enough to be licked while liking? Do you liken licking to getting . . . lucky? or . . . laid? Will you let liking languish?

OK, I am . . . like done.

Ladies Of A*F*F/Pazzion Your Thoughts Please

The following is an article about a facial hair study I found on Yaahooo. Your thoughts on this subject are requested.

New research finds that women will form a personal opinion about men based on how much hair he has on his face. Investigators from the University of Queensland in Australia asked 8,520 women to view computerized, manipulated images of men who displayed various stages of facial hair — clean-shaven, light stubble, heavy stubble, and full beards, with additional differences in brow ridge, cheekbones, and jawline. The females were asked to rate the attractiveness of these men.

The results, which were published in the Journal of Evolutionary Biology, are as follows:
- Stubble was judged as most attractive overall and received the highest marks for a short-term relationship.

- A full beard was more attractive in terms of a committed partner, “as a signal of intrasexual formidability and the potential to provide direct benefits to females.”

- Extremely masculine (images morphed where the men had narrower eyes, thicker and straighter brows, a thicker nasal bridge with narrower nostrils, less pronounced cheekbones, a narrower mouth and a larger, and a squarer jaw and chin) and extremely feminine-looking males (where these characteristics were diminished) were least attractive.

“Sexual selection via female choice has shaped the evolution of male ornamentation in many species,” stated the study authors in a press release.

‘I’m not surprised at all with these findings,” Stacy Kaiser, licensed psychotherapist, relationship expert, and author of How to Be a Grown Up: The Ten Secret Skills Everyone Needs to Know, tells Yahoo Beauty. “They go with my experience as a clinician and as a woman.” She explains that because females deem a man’s stubble as “masculine, rugged, and sexy,” they will interpret his five o’clock shadow to mean he’s a guy who’s only in search of a fleeting romance. “When we think of that kind of sexiness and passion, it does not translate into long-term thoughts or feelings,” states Kaiser.

However, extra facial hair is interpreted as extra safe.

“On the flip side, a man with a full beard is viewed as stable and fatherly, which makes us women think more about long-term relationships and greater security,” she added.

And this isn’t the first study to draw these conclusions. Psychology Today reported on two previous papers that found similar results, where one research group asked the men to evaluate their own appearance. The guys considered a full beard to be as appealing as heavy stubble, and reported a greater feeling of masculinity as facial hair increased.

The author, Jeremy Nicholson — who also goes by the name the Attraction Doctor — concluded by reminding men that not all women think alike.

“There is a contingent of women who do not care for men’s facial hair at all, so for men committed to smooth cheeks, there’s certainly someone out there for you, too,” he wrote. “But fundamentally, as with other mating cures, women’s preferences in men are often linked to the type of relationship and gender dynamic they want. By changing his facial hair, a guy may be more likely to attract the type of relationship partner he seeks.”

If you haven’t read them yet there are several interesting posts that have been posted over the last 24 or so hours by several of the lovely lady bloggers here. In chronological order they are:

One by a woman who usually posts up interesting lil bits of trivia [blog 1EroticauthorTwo] . But this isn’t a trivial post at all > [post 3898174]

And from a Canadian lady [blog Wantingsexymind2] who has recently returned (she is “reblogginated” – yup it’s a word now) from a long absence. She has reposted a poem she originally wrote in 2009 and it is worth the read IMO > [post 3898384]

What (Not Who) Comes (Not Cums) First?

This question is in reference to facts and emotions.

Being a Virgo (that’s OK go ahead hate me the line has started just around the corner ) I am essentially a logical person first. I am in my head a lot, perhaps too much sometimes, but not always, as my experiences here would indicate. I figure things out as best I can and then emote if I feeeeel doing so is warranted. Some people seem to be the opposite of that. They panic or put out other displays of emotion, sometimes to extremes or what is sometimes called around here draaama, and then they sometimes figure out (sometimes not) that the situation is not as they had speculated it was.

An example: A now ex g/f (MG) who, when we first met was, extremely upset over something that had been said about her and a friend of hers (Tammy), by someone on FalseBook. Me being curious about the online comment I asked whom the person was: “It is a friend on FalseBook” says her, “Oh,” says I and I ask where else do you know them from? “Nowhere else just FalseBook” says she. “So you have never met this person” asks I, “Well no” says she. “Is this person related to you or Tammy?” asks her I do, “Well no” says she. “So why does this person’s, who you don’t really know and who doesn’t really know you, opinion even matter?” asks I . . . silence. Thankfully the subject never came up again.

Sidebar: Don’t ask why I wrote that as if I was Captain Jack Sparrow – I have no friggin clue.

Another example: During the various blog glitches (and non-glitches) there have been here, many people panicked or complained without knowing what was actually going on. Some have speculated about what the cause was, but they couldn’t have known because the site’s tech and programming people did not know what the problem was – IF ANY.

I have a bit of trouble understanding this, why all the drama, but in reality I don’t really need to know IMO – it just is. But the question still is: What Comes First Facts Or Emotions?

I Was Asked About Being On Top

Last Updated:Oct 30, 2016 12:53 pm

I was complemented by another blogger on her post [post 3893352]. I thanked her and gave a short response, which could have been longer, but I wasn’t the subject of that post. She suggested I go for being top male blogger and said “I think you would have a lot of support if you went for it.” I responded, “maybe I’ll yak up a post about that” so here it is.

She said, “You’re a great problem solver”. Yeah, I’ll go along with that cause it is what I’ve been doing job wise and in a way fun wise (racing not sex) for a loooong time now and I did a bit here too. Strangely, because I solved a problem for an ex (gave her the money to take a class in . . . creative problem solving), I am now taking that online class myself. At this point in the class I am points ahead of the 100% mark. BTW, it’s a little weird trying to “learn” what you already “know”.

One problem with being a top blogger is the crap it generates. But that stuff seems to be more prominent for the women’s top blogger position. That alone would probably be a subject for a whole other post. Anyway, I don’t need or want that warring foolishness on my mind. The latest war(s) were not worth the “collateral damage” IMO. FWIW, in the problem solving class there is a section that talks about false logic “The 11 Most Common Examples Of Logical Fallacies” I was going over that while the latest war(s) were happening. Weird how some things happen at the most “interesting” time.

Another thing she mentioned was “Maybe you under value the product you could post, or feel guilty making multiple posts a day” and “Maybe you post at the wrong time for the recent posts list.” Far as that goes, I don’t have the time to post daily let alone multiple times per day except perhaps in a few situations. I do have a very long WORD doc with posts that are “brewing” but not quite up to 100 proof yet, and some that are just a few sentences/ideas with no meat to them. Part of that is my Virgo desire for near perfection. No guilt over posting or the value of it – if people like it, or me, great if not so be it. The attention is nice and the folks I interact with are cool too and that works fine for me. Being where I live and what I’m doing more dictates when I post – it comes up when it is ready to come up.

The purpose of me being on the site(s) is/was/is/was to find and participate in one-on-one in person “activities” – blogging came as a secondary semi-sexual act. Blogging really has done nothing (nada, zero, nyet) in the way of meeting women in my case. It has become mostly my main thing since there are few women on this site(s) in my area.

I was dangerously close to being on top once (I prefer someone else be on top ) and tried to “get off” as these linked posts show:
Calling out Ninja, Ghost, Ktmn, Mc and Todd, Todd, Todd
Pimpin The Other Guys
Please Help These Guys Out

So, thanks again to [blog hinj1] the lady who made the complement and suggestion.
